I had a primary goal in mind when redesigning the Vital Bracelet packaging: make it cool for kids AND adults. To that end, the first thing I wanted to do was make sure the package would display the Vital Bracelet front and center. What better way to do so than by displaying the actual device through a plastic enclosure. The packaging for the rest of the materials must become relatively unobtrusive. So the box of contents became the base of the packaging, which would be enclosed by a clear acrylic cover. Using the natural qualities of the plastic I added floating text onto the plastic to create a faux hologram look.
The package was a display base for a new piece of future tech. The status of the device would float around the device like holographic text while the recognizable electric pulse would seem as if it was a bolt going through the watch. For a child this exemplifies a cool futuristic gadget, and for an adult this becomes a display piece for any Digimon collector.
